Alongside the software, Duothink runs a small applied-chemistry programme: we are testing and bringing to market water-based formulations for consumers and industry. Bench testing is currently ongoing to prove effectiveness with real data. Our vision is to create cost-effective chemical solutions of the highest quality, and a brand our customers can trust.

The same discipline we apply to software. Pick a problem, develop a solution, iterate to improve, then test aggressively — so what reaches the customer is a rock-solid product backed by defensible data. Everything is developed and tested in-house.

Practical, water-based chemistry built from established raw materials, developed and tested in-house, and brought to market only when the bench data says it works. What we are making stays under wraps until launch; how we make it does not.

How we work

Bench first, claims second

Every formulation is ranked with a written, reproducible test method before anyone writes a label. Classification is done by the book, the safety data sheet is written before the first bottle is filled, and every claim on the pack has a test behind it.

We formulate to sell under our own brands — through our own site, online marketplaces and trade distribution — and we take contract formulation and reformulation work where it fits.

Who is behind it

An engineer who has run the factory, and a chemist who has seen it all and can still run the maths without needing AI.

Product development is a discipline, not a department. Between us: patents, production lines and ISO systems — and a career in production chemistry long enough to know when a number is wrong.

BEng (Hons) Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, PgDip Business Management (RGU). Originating inventor on 10 granted patents. Twenty-five years taking new products from concept to international deployment, including bringing manufacturing in-house under ISO 9001/14001. Runs the programme's test methods, product development and route to market.

Aston University. Leads formulation, chemistry and test design on the Duothink materials programme.

Duothink Ltd is a UK-registered company formulating in Great Britain. We operate as a downstream user under UK REACH: we buy registered substances from UK suppliers and do not manufacture or import substances ourselves. We buy sample and evaluation quantities for the development programme, and production quantities as products reach market.
