Duothink is a small Scottish technology company founded by brothers Hugh and Ian Mackenzie. Working together — with AI as the lever that lets us punch above our weight — we build products for the people we know, in Scotland and beyond.

Two brains, one mission, and AI as the multiplier.
Duothink was founded by brothers Hugh and Ian Mackenzie, working out of Aberdeenshire. The name comes from a simple idea we kept coming back to: two minds, thinking together, are better than one. AI is the force multiplier that lets a very small team move much faster than a large team without losing focus. All the advantages of a smaller team but, when combined with AI, the output of a large team — that is the Duothink model.
We're not chasing scale for its own sake, and we're not building to chase trends. We build products we believe in, for people we understand — starting with our own community in Scotland.
